Anticipating a New Era
The history of education has been a story of adaptation and innovation as institutions and instructors reconsidered the craft of teaching and modified their pedagogical practices in response to social, technical and epistemological changes in the world at large. Some of these changes are gradual; however, the global pandemic has forced changes upon educators virtually overnight. How can teachers and institutions adapt to the needs and demands of this new era in higher education?
Join us Saturday June 4, 2022 for a day of diverse discussion of this and other questions related to education with a global perspective in Japan and internationally.
Presentations will be on topics relevant to global higher education, including global competency, foreign language education, classroom diversity, cross-cultural communication, student advising, foreign student recruiting, study abroad, CLIL, area studies, environmental education, or related issues.
In-person presentations will be held at Lakeland University’s new campus in Ryogoku, Tokyo. (An online module is also possible)
Please submit proposals to email@example.com by the new, extended deadline of February 1, 2022. Abstracts (MS Word preferred) should be no more than 250 words.
